Credit Report Request Service
Customers of financial institutions (individuals and businesses), and individuals using commercial loans are entitled to examine the data on record about them in the Central Credit Information System (CCIS). Customers may exercise this right at any branch of any bank or financial service provider. Information is disclosed using the following procedure:
- A request is submitted by the borrower at a branch of a financial service provider.
- A credit report request is submitted by the financial service provider via the CCIS or CR system.
- In a closed envelope addressed to the borrower, the printed response is returned by BISZ Zrt. to the financial institution submitting the credit report request.
- The unopened envelope is delivered by the financial institution to the borrower who requested the credit report.
- The credit report contains all credit data on the borrower as well as the name of the financial institution that registered the borrower in the CCIS.
The credit report is free of charge.
Data complaints
Where a borrower challenges the information stored on them in the CCIS, they may make a complaint with respect to such data.
To expedite processing, it is recommended to address the complaint to the bank, financial service provider or Reference Data Provider that registered the challenged data in the CCIS.
The content and accuracy of any data registered in the CCIS are the responsibility of the bank, financial service provider or Reference Data Provider registering the data. If the bank registering the data has wound up, merged or has sold the receivable being challenged, the successor bank will be competent and liable for the data concerned.
The bank acting as data registrar or data owner has the information (relating to agreements, accounts and repayment) required for the clarification and remedy of complaints and requests.
BISZ Zrt.’s procedure for complaints management requires that any requests concerning the modification or removal of data stored in the Central Credit Information System should be submitted in writing. The detailed process is described in the document below.

Our publication Customer Information is also recommended to all financial institutions using the CCIS the services of which involve customer contact at branches.
The Act on Credit Institutions and Financial Enterprises requires that borrowers should be advised on the possibility of being registered in the CCIS when they apply for their loans. Consequently, the publication Customer Information also offers practical guidelines to employees engaged in lending for the purpose of providing such advice.
