CCIS

The CCIS service
The CCIS is a self-contained database operated jointly by over 450 financial institutions and banks in Hungary, managing the customer and agreement data which they submit to it, and providing credit information to support their application assessment processes.

The database of the CCIS, previously called Interbank Debtor and Credit Information System (IDCIS), contains data permitted by relevant legislation and submitted by system users (financial institutions) on their business and retail customers. The CCIS is a credit information system recognised by the HFSA and operating in compliance with the law.

Information in the CCIS may represent both positive (with businesses) and negative ratings, i.e. the fact that data are registered in the CCIS with respect to a particular debtor does not in itself qualify as poor rating. Consequently, the data stored in the system play an important role in the assessment of loan applications in each particular case. For instance, querying the CCIS may even provide easier access to loans by businesses that repay on schedule, are reliable and have good credit histories.
